You’re in the right place if your body and mind need a pause. 

This is a space for you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. 

Through Reiki and Breathwork, I offer gentle, supportive practices that help calm the nervous system, release built-up tension, and create space for healing.

You don't need to have experience. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need a moment to  pause.... and willingness to take one breath at a time.

You don't have to do this alone.

My name is Teresa Linhares

I am a U.S. Army veteran and Physical Therapy Assistant with over 17 years of experience in rehabilitation and patient care. After transitioning out of the military in 2014, I continued my career as a PTA, supporting individuals through pain management, recovery, and functional healing. Carrying unresolved stress from both childhood and military service led me to explore holistic approaches to healing to manage anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Reiki, meditation, and breathwork became my anchor, providing grounding, nervous system regulation, and emotional balance. Today, I bring together my clinical background and lived experience to offer compassionate, trauma-informed Reiki sessions that support healing of both body and mind.

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive healing practice that supports the body's natural ability to restore balance. It works by helping calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and release tension, creating an environment where physical, emotional, and mental healing can occur.

During a Reiki session, light touch or hands placed just above the body are used to promote deep relaxation and improve the flow of energy throughout the system. Many people experience a sense of calm, relief from pain, improved sleep, and greater emotional clarity. 

Reiki can be especially beneficial for veterans and first responders because it helps calm the nervous system after prolonged exposure to stress, trauma, and high-alert environments. Reiki creates a safe space for the body to shift out of survival mode, supporting recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

 

Reiki does not replace medical care, but it works well alongside it as a supportive, restorative practice.

What Is Soma Breathwork?

SOMA Breathwork is a guided breathwork practice that combines rhythmic breathing, breathing retention, and music to help shift your state - physically, mentally, and emotionally. 

This technique gently activates the body while bringing deep calm to the nervous system, helping restore a sense of balance. It also provides a safe container for releasing stored tension, grief, or sadness that can contribute to depression

For those struggling with panic attacks, anxiety, or depression, SOMA Breathwork can offer real, tangible support. By training your nervous system to respond more calmly to stress, it can help you feel more grounded, centered, and in control
